Xiaoming Wu
Mr. Wu received a B.A. degree in English from Beijing Institute of Foreign
Languages. After receiving his J.D. degree from the University of Iowa
College of Law, he worked for two years as a law clerk to the Honorable
Lee M. Jackwig, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Iowa.
During his tenure, he wrote more than 200 research memoranda covering a
wide range of issues on bankruptcy and related federal and state laws, in
addition to drafting court opinions and orders.
Mr. Wu started private practice in 1996, representing consumer debtors in
over 3,000 Chapter 13 cases and numerous Chapter 7 cases, including
adversary proceedings and contested matters.
Mr. Wu is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Iowa and Florida, and
before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit (whose
jurisdiction covers Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana) and various federal
district courts. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer
Bankruptcy Attorneys, National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees, American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar
Association and is certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American
Board of Certification.
Sara K. Ledford
Ms. Ledford graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in
Communications Studies and Political Science. She then attended Indiana
University School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana. While in law school she
served as the Executive Editor of the Indiana Law Journal, as well as
being published in the same Journal.
After
graduating cum laude with her law degree Ms. Ledford entered
private practice with the same Chicago consumer bankruptcy firm as Mr. Wu.
In addition to handling her own case load of both Chapter 7 and Chapter
13 cases, Ms. Ledford assisted in coordination of the firm’s Chapter 13
practice. In this capacity she has been involved with numerous consumer
bankruptcy cases. Ms. Ledford is licensed to practice law in Illinois and
several federal jurisdictions and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association
and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
George M. Vogl IV
Mr. Vogl graduated from Temple University with a
Bachelor of Business Administration degree. After two years of working,
he returned to the Temple University School of Law and the Fox School of
Business Management at Temple University, where he received both his J.D.
and M.B.A. degrees in their respective evening divisions. He also served
as Treasurer of the Evening Law Student Association. While attending
school in the evening, Mr. Vogl was working full-time as a Corporate
Accountant with the Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust in
Philadelphia. In addition, he spent twelve years serving his country in
the U.S. Army Reserve and New Jersey National Guard as an Infantry Platoon
Sergeant.
Upon
graduation, Mr. Vogl moved to Chicago and entered private practice with a
large consumer bankruptcy firm. After two years of managing a case load
of his own Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, he was promoted to Managing
Attorney of the firm’s Chapter 13 Division. He was responsible for the
oversight of the firm’s several thousand active Chapter 13 cases and all
of the firm’s bankruptcy litigation. Mr. Vogl is licensed to practice in
Illinois and six federal districts.
He is a member of the National Association of
Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
