What to expect: When calling Ledford & Wu for a free consultation, you will speak to an experienced Chicago bankruptcy attorney. One of us will ask you a series of basic questions, discuss the situation that you are in and explain to you what we believe bankruptcy protection can offer you. You will then decide whether or not you elect to come in for a free in-person consultation with one of our experienced bankruptcy attorneys at whichever office is most convenient for you.
What to have handy when you call: In order to give you a reasonable analysis, we need to know a few simple facts about you:
- If you own real estate, how much is each property worth, how much to you owe on it, what are the monthly payments and whether or not you are current.
- How much your car payments are and the approximate balance.
- What you and your spouse (if applicable) do for a living and how much you (each) make.
- What kinds of debts you are dealing with and how much you owe.
We understand that you will likely not know exact figures and that is fine, we just need a fair estimate in order to give you a proper initial analysis.
