Lia Kasios graduated from Western Michigan University – Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2011 with a Juris Doctor (law degree). During law school Ms. Kasios was a member of the Moot Court National Team and the Moot Court Executive Board and earned recognition for her skills in litigation, including a Best Advocate Award for her participation in the Intra-School Moot Court Competition. While in law school, Ms. Kasios was a legislative intern for Michigan State Senator John Pappagcorge. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Kasios attended DePaul University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and minored in Studio Art.

Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Kasios worked for a large consumer bankruptcy firm. She later shifted her practice to litigation and practiced foreclosure defense, family law, and general litigation. Ms. Kasios now focuses her practice on consumer bankruptcy. When not working, Ms. Kasios enjoys trying new restaurants, painting, and spending time with friends and family.
